We are delighted to offer Andy Murray's Adidas cap that he wore during his historic victory over Novak Djokovic in the 2013 Wimbledon Championships Men's Singles final on July 7, 2013. Murray became the first British Wimbledon Men's Singles champion in 76 years (and first Scottish winner since 1896) with his 6–4, 7–5, 6–4 triumph over the 24-time major tournament champion. A clear underdog going into the match, Murray dominated his opponent to claim the Gentlemen's Singles Trophy.
The unisize white Adidas hat, with classic logo stitched in grey, was worn by Murray during a large part of the match. It was the only hat he wore during the final. It was originally retrieved from Centre Court by Wimbledon Head Groundsman, Grant Cantin, and comes with his signed letter of provenance. It was previously on loan to the Wimbledon Museum, before Mr Cantin decided to part ways with it in 2025. The cap has been definitively photomatched to the 2013 Wimbledon Final by Resolution Photomatching™, based on three distinct marks to the front right of the hat (see the accompanying paperwork for further details and images). These marks can be seen in numerous photos taken during the final. The hat also displays mud stains from when it was thrown onto the Wimbledon turf during Murray's victory celebrations.
