Walt Disney, a bold ink signature on a printed business card of Léo Poldès. Poldès is listed on the card as "Director of the newspaper Le Faubourg, President of the Club du Faubourg, Knight of the Legion of Honor". Fine condition with two binder holes along the top; neither encroaching on the autograph. An ink stain and some minor soiling to verso.
Léopold Szeszler, known as Léo Poldès (1891-1970) was a journalist, socialist and later communist activist, founder and president of the Club du Faubourg and the Federation of Free Forums. After the defeat of 1940,he went into exile in Latin America, first in Brazil and then in Montevideo, Uruguay, the period from which this business card dates. The autograph has been pre-approved by Phil Sears.
