1984 Prince Charles & Princess Diana signed Christmas card
A Royal Christmas card sent by Prince Charles and Princess Diana to "Nanny Rattle" in 1984. Hand signed by both Charles & Diana and black ink. Printed on superior card stock and featuring two gold embossed Royal crests to the front cover. The adjacent page has a family photo with Prince William and the newly born Prince Harry in Diana's arms. The card was sent to Olive Rattle, who was nanny and friend to the Royal Family. In the 1960s she worked for Princess Alexandra of Kent (cousin of Queen Elizabeth II) and Sir Angus Ogilvy, helping to raise their children James and Marina. She resided along with the family at Thatched House Lodge in Richmond Park for many years. Miss Rattle was awarded the Royal Victorian Medal in the 1984 New Year's Honours list for services to the Royal Family and her retirement from nannying. The Christmas card remains in excellent condition. Measures 6 by 7 inches closed, 6 by 14 inches open.
