A typed thank you letter sent to members of the Duchy in October 1981, thanking them for their combined wedding gift. It has been signed at the conclusion by Charles in black ink, and Diana in blue, the latter adding "Yours most sincerely". The letter typed on 8" x 13" Buckingham Palace crested paper and complete with original Palace envelope addressed to 'R. Ballam Esq.'
"We would like to thank you very much indeed for your most kind contribution to the wedding present which the Duchy has given us" .... the letter goes on to thank members of the Duchy for the mahogany library table "which will look splendid in our home at Highgrove" and the balance of their gift which was received as a cheque. This same typed letter was given to multiple members of the Duchy. The autographs at the bottom are hand signed and differ on each letter, as does the typed name of the recipient at the start of the letter. The letter is in excellent condition with its original fold lines. The envelope is very good, with some minor soiling.
