Unusual vintage ballpoint signatures of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, dating to their famous 1969 'Bed-In' at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam. Lennon has signed twice on a light brown 5.5 x 3" slip, and Ono once on a 2.75 x 1" slip. Both are affixed to slightly larger slips, which have been framed with two original photographs from the event. In good condition, with moderate creasing to the Lennon page, and light staining to both from adhesive residue on the reverse. Accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance from the original recipient, who was a ten year old at the time, writing for her Dutch school magazine. The letter reads in part: "At the time of 29th March 1969 (a Saturday) I was 18 years old…On the lower photo you can see me on the most left side, sitting, dark hair. My girl friend (still…) is the blond one and we both wrote for our school-magazine and always looking, researching, finding for special subjects…The bedpeace/hairpeace in the Hilton Hotel Amsterdam 1969 was also a fantastic subject for us, and so for the magazine! After a few days of phoning, asking, begging we were welcome to visit John & Yoko. A lot of hours waiting in the lobby of the hotel, very nervous, we were able to get in the elevator for the visit, special integrated for school people. Finally we entered the hotel room of John and Yoko, still a moment not to forget! The photos, signatures are the results of this special day!"
