1992 HRH Princess Diana signed letter with fantastic Welsh Rugby content (TLS)
A typed letter, signed, sent by Princess Diana to the editor of Dragons Magazine in August 1992. "Dragons" was a magazine published by the Welsh Rugby Union, aimed at younger players & fans of the sport. The letter is typed on a single page of Kensington Palace crested paper, measuring 23.6 x 18.6 cm. Autographed by Diana at the conclusion in black ink. In excellent condition with a couple of faint creases. The autograph has lightened a shade but is still an imposing example.
Diana starts the letter "I am sure that every Welsh boy who follows rugby has a secret dream that one day he will don the red shirt and run onto Cardiff Arms Park to play for Wales!" .... she has "realised that to build a first class international team we have to start at an early age. This is why I welcome the Dragon Magazine which is aimed to help youngsters to be fit and develop their rugby technique as well as introducing them to the fun of being a member of the team" ..... "I look forward to hearing of your progress." Diana ends the letter with a line of Welsh "Ymlaen Ieuenctid Cymraeg!" which translates as "Forward Welsh Youth".
A highly desirable letter with astonishing Welsh rugby content from the Princess of Wales herself.
