A desirable postcard written entirely in the hand of Cy Young and signed "Cy" at the conclusion. Postmarked July 21, 1947 and sent from New York City. Partial transcript:
"Dear Hazel, On my usual jaunt (?). Sure some (illegible) so I'll be home Thursday eve, am going by auto, Cy"
The front of the postcard pictures some of famous buildings in downtown Manhattan. In fair/good condition with one 4 cm tear to lower right edge, creasing throughout and tape remnants to the corners. The ink remains bold and clear.
