Ed Sheeran's personally owned and played harmonica. The blue and white ELC (Early Learning Centre) harmonica likely originates from his childhood and was used during some of his earliest experimentation as a budding musician. Recently sold at auction by Bishop & Miller of Ipswich in order to raise funds for the town's newly opened Zest charity shop. Sheeran donated over 300 of his personal items including shoes, clothing and instruments. Although born in West Yorkshire, Sheeran was brought up in Framlingham, Suffolk, just seventeen miles from where the auction house in situated.
The harmonica comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Bishop & Miller Auctions, as well as the original auction tag. A unique instrument from the formative period in the life of one of today's most celebrated musicians.
