An extremely rare, and quite possibly unique poster advertising Pink Floyd's November 1966 residency at the All Saints Hall in Powis Gardens, Notting Hill. The band first appeared at the church hall on 30th September 1966 for a London Free School Celebration Dance. They returned to play a number of times for London Free School Productions during October/November of the same year, including the Tuesday night November residency advertised on this poster. Pink Floyd played at the Hall on November 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th but didn't perform on the 1st as advertised. They also appeared at the venue on November the 4th and 11th.
The lightweight poster consists of two sections affixed together, measuring approximately 22.5 x 20". Please note that this is how the poster was displayed in 1966. There was originally a middle section promoting Thursday Night shows, which was removed after printing due to those shows no longer taking place. This poster first came to market with several other Pink Floyd concert posters in late 2018, one of which from the Marquee Club sold for £20,000! Several horizontal tears across the top of the poster have been repaired from behind by a professional conservationist using Japanese tissue paper. One small chip missing from the top left corner. The vivid poster encourages fans to "get your kicks" and introduces the still relatively unknown band as "PSYCHEDELIC POP featuring PINK FLOYD & MIXED MEDIA". An impressive relic from the dawn of the Pink Floyd's career.
