Fabulous original concert poster advertising the Beatles performances at the Odeon in Weston-Super-Mare, the week commencing July 22nd 1963. The boys were top billing of a multi-act show running for six nights at the towns Odeon Cinema. Other performers included Gerry & The Pacemakers, Tommy Quickly and the Lana Sisters. The poster introduces the Beatles as "BRITAIN'S FABULOUS DISC STARS" and features head shots of both the Beatles and Gerry & The Pacemakers. The vivid yellow, red and pink colours and reinforced with blue text and and borders. A beautiful poster from just before the band exploded onto the international stage and Beatlemania swept the world!
The poster measures 14.75 x 9.75". Printed on thin card stock by the Electric (Modern) Printing Co. Ltd. in Manchester, England, whose accreditation can be found in small font to the bottom left corner. Very good condition, with a central fold line going both ways. Four pin holes along the top edge and light age toning throughout. There are adhesive marks to the verso, from previous display.
