A scarce monochrome portrait of Fidel Castro, signed and inscribed "A mi amigo y compatriota Armando del Moreal por su lucha por la revolucion, Fidel Castro" and dated "New York, 1955". The inscription translated as "To my friend and compatriot Armando del Moreal for his fight for the revolution". In VG condition. Some light creasing and soiling. Minor ink smudging in a couple of places. Tape remnants and minor surface paper loss to the rear from previous framing. Annotated in pencil on verso "Propiedad de (property of) Armando del Moreal, 1955". 5.25 x 3.5". Any signed Castro photo is scarce, this example made more desirable by its recipient association and penning on US soil.
