K. S. Ranjitsinhji signed photo
An fine autographed photo of Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji, often known simply as "Ranji". During cricket’s Golden Age at the end of the 19th century Ranji was arguably the most talented player in the sport, playing for the English cricket team, Cambridge University and county cricket for Sussex. He was later the ruler of the Indian princely state of Nawanagar from 1907 to 1933, as Maharaja Jam Saheb. This 5.25 x 3.5" postcard from the Rotary Photographic Series captures Ranji in one of his cricket blazers; the image is signed prominently to the lower border in black fountain pen. In VG-EX condition with light corner impressions from album storage, and some silvering to the top of the image.
