5.25 x 3.5" autographed postcard of C. B. Fry from the Rotary Photographic Series. The esteemed sportsman has signed across a light section of the image in black fountain pen "C. B. Fry". An excellent, bold signature. In VG condition with minor silvering to the upper perimeter and slight ink run in a couple of spots.
Charles Burgess Fry (1872-1956) was an English sportsman, politician, diplomat, academic, teacher, writer, editor and publisher, who is best remembered for his career as a cricketer. Fry's achievements on the sporting field included representing England at both cricket and football, an FA Cup Final appearance for Southampton F.C. and equalling the world record (at the time) for the long jump.
