A 4 x 4.5" autograph album with the signatures of all four Beatles. Signed over three separate pages within the album (Ringo & John on the same page). It comes with a letter of provenance from the original owner.
The album is in VG condition, and the pages are excellent with just minor soiling. Ringo's autograph has smudged slightly in a couple of spots. Each of the pages are several apart, meaning that all three could be removed and displayed together if desired. * Please note that there are no other autographs in the album other than the Beatles *
The signatures were acquired in 1964 when the Beatles disembarked from a train at West Ealing station. They had been filming a scene for A Hard Day's Night and were scheduled to leave the train at Paddington. However they were diverted - as the letter explains - because "the waiting crowds were so large that it was considered to be too dangerous for them to alight there ... the planned station stop was changed to West Ealing at short notice. I knew the station master there and he rang me at home and told me that the Beatles were going to be arriving ..... as I was living opposite the station all I had to do was walk across the road to meet the Beatles". Please see the photos for the full letter.
