1940's Walt Disney signed original production cel from Pinnochio

This is an original cel painting from Walt Disney Studios that was used in the production of the 1940 animated musical fantasy, Pinocchio. The cel comes with it's original matt which is signed and inscribed in the lower right comer by Walt Disney. The cel was dedicated to Gordon Crier as a thank you for him producing a BBC documentary about Walt Disney in the late 1940's. The piece comes with a letter of provenance from Gordon's daughter who confirms the story. She's had the item in her possession until it was recently sold to ourselves. The autograph is signed in black graphite crayon and remains strong. The matt and cel do show the expected age related toning and wear. There are a few minor knocks and stains to the edges of the matting. The total size of the piece is 38 x 40.5 cm. The cel - which is taped to the mount - measures 33 x 35 cm.
