For Bond collectors, this Style B country-of-origin British quad is a rare find. This more conservative artwork for the film was produced primarily for Ireland, as their censorship regulations made the more provocative Style A unusable and would have assuredly been painted over for use in that country. Designed by Robert Brownjohn, who was also responsible for the great opening credit sequence, this is one of the more rare British posters for the film. Sean Connery and Honor Blackman are superimposed over the golden hand of Shirley Eaton.
The poster has been professionally linen backed and extensively restored with most of the black background airbrushed and the titles retouched (where the text reads "back in action!" the retouched font follows a slightly different line to the original). The hand artwork itself is largely untouched, with the exception of a few spots of minor infill. We have priced the poster accordingly.
