Offered here are a pair of Martin Luther King's cufflinks that were gifted to long time collector Jim Schendel. Schendel was a collector of many fields (since the 1950's) that wrote to athletes, historic figures, presidents and prominent individuals asking for items to add to his huge collection. Some of these figures would send back signed letters, photos and even personal items. Featured here is a pair of Martin Luther King's personally owned "Swank" cufflinks that he kindly sent to Schendel. It was returned with a signed cut reading "With Best Wishes, Martin L. King Jr". The autograph and inscription written in black fountain pen on thin card, measuring approximately 3" x 2.5". Both cufflinks show evident use and age-related tarnishing in places. Authenticated by PSA/DNA - certification number AD08311.
